Del Piombo is the musical alter ego of composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and sonic storyteller David Cosgrove. With more than three decades of experience across composition, engineering, performance, and production, Del Piombo bridges orchestral form, progressive rock, ambient texture, and cinematic soundscapes. The work is defined by atmosphere, narrative, and emotional movement—music built as if scoring films that haven’t been made yet.

The Sound

Del Piombo creates what he calls “soundtracks for films that don’t exist — but should.” His compositions combine classical structure, modern production, and genre-fluid creativity to form immersive listening experiences.
